Description:
Tranquility Plus! This cedar frame Ontario cottage rental is the only cottage on a private, 3 acre island. The cottage's interior boasts a newer kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, washer and dryer. There are three bedrooms, with double beds in the corner rooms, while the centre bedroom has a bunk bed. While cozy, they all open on to the living area that has a wood burning stove for comfort, as well as electric heaters for convenience. The dining area offers stunning views of Stoney's rugged, pink granite outcroppings.
Large windows open the cottage up to its surroundings, with excellent views from every angle. The island itself is wooded and there are three docks on the island, and a stairway down into a favourite area known as "the swimming hole". Youngsters will enjoy the rocky shallows (small area). Boats are available for use by the renters - these include a canoe, a rowing skiff and an aluminum outboard with a 9.5hp Evinrude motor. The cottage essentially faces south and the deck has sun from early morning to late evening. It is a great place to explore, read, fish, sail and paddle, with a sense of privacy that only an island can provide.
